I wanted to go fishing with some of my friends this weekend but wasn't sure where is frozen and where isn't frozen.
We all decided we were tired of ice fishing. So, we want to go fish some open water.
I was thinking either Credit or Niagara.

I'd suggest you hit up Niagara. Big open water and more space to fish. Just gotta watch for those ice ledges. Can be scary at times, but if they're solid, it can be a great time.

tribs are no go. niagara is great if you can handle fishing 10-30feet over bolder strewn bottom with floating ice. not to mention the inevitable icing that will cripple your ability to get deep and cast. also, it may be just my imagination, but what is with all the noobs? there were a good 2dozen littering douches at the pool last time. thought it was kinda strange for this time of year.

lol thats what u get for sayin fishing been hot down here, way to many lurkers just waiting for a good report <_<

Niagara is one of the best fishing spots. As a beginner, you need to go like 7-8 times before you figure everything out (bait, location, gear, ect.). It requires patience. You will definitely have swearing fits sometimes :D . Anyways, is there any system we can develop to report conditions in the whirlpool. For example, water level, fish activity, and most importantly, the ice!
