After a long overdue fishing excursion, my girlfriend her sexy friend, and I decided to pack up the tackle and head out to the Wick to go fishing for something simple, and a guaranteed catch... PERCH, and there were TONS of them. We bought worms from some shop beside the Golden Dragon restaurant. The lady that worked there told us that everybody goes to Bonnie park and fishes off the docks and that it would be completely packed *and it was, at least 10 boats, 30 people, and even a person fishing from some crazy amphibious vehicle. We used worms and 10 gauge hooks with a weight and a float set at about 6 feet. We parked at a mail box because it was close, free, and legal, marked at point 2. Point 3 is the docks we fished from, which had a sign that said something like, "due to unforeseen circumstances fishing is not allowed from something somewhere because of something...." But there were a pile of people fishing from the something somewhere and the conservation boat was there but no authority officers. Good day, then it rained the girls started complaining that it was cold. Constant fish every time you dropped a line in the water. Alot of people were keeping the perch but most were practicing catch and release. A boy who must have been 8 years old with his family was having the best luck it was really cute, he was haulin' them in faster than the grizzle hicks with beer guts and camo on in lawn chairs... and the little dude was shouting MOM, I CAUGHT 7 BIG ONES... which got old when he was yelling mom I CAUGHT 23 BIG ONES.... cute kid. I got my girlfriends friend to take a picture next to me and a whopping 3inch long perch, I'll be sure to post it as soon as I get it in the inbox for proof.

Re: Fishing The Keswick

Nice work!
Good to have consistant action. Keeps you occupied 8)

I also like how you say your girlfriends friend is sexy hahaha.

Re: Fishing The Keswick

Awesome!
Can we see some pictures of your sexy friend fishing ?

By the way... those docks aren't closed off now?
I remember few years ago Bonnie's closing them off with gate.

Re: Fishing The Keswick

There is a gate but it was wide open. Also there was a spot where people were fishing by a blue bridge just up hedge road, but I couldn't find a place to park. Lol ya she is pretty damn hot, I guess it's a good thing that my girlfriend won't read this forum lol. I think I am taking them fishing today sometime so I'll try to snap a few shots haha

Re: Fishing The Keswick

Hope you had a good day up in Keswick.
It may be a good thing your Girlfriend doesnt read this forum BUT; us grizzle hicks with beer guts and camo chairs do. 8) ...Maybe ask one of those hillbillies and he'll offer some fishing tips...like ditch the beach ball bobber for one like the adults use. Then maybe one of the hicks can send in a report that some city kid was catching on every cast!

Re: Fishing The Keswick

Man beach ball bobbers are the best for working perch lol, I have the pointy ones, but they are way more expensive lol. And who says I am a city kid lol, I live in the boons. Oh, and here's the girlfriends friend haha! This girl is stacked thin and a wicked fishermanwoman.

LOL !! nice report man & thnx for the info.

Re: Fishing The Keswick

I headed back up there today and threw some casts off with my buddy, caught a whole bunch of perch and my buddy caught a sunfish. It's a fun spot.

Re: Fishing The Keswick

Nice fun you had there, with all this fish, then with your girlfriend and her "sexy" friend

But your title of the post threw me off ,as it was bit misleading, I suggest you change it from "Fishing The Keswick" to "Fishing The Sutton" or something else (like Cedar Brae or Horneville or Sutton) .

Place you are talking about is at Lake Simcoe Jacksons point and closest to it are Cedar Brae, Horneville & Sutton, Keswick is further away then these.
