After a long overdue fishing excursion, my girlfriend her sexy friend, and I decided to pack up the tackle and head out to the Wick to go fishing for something simple, and a guaranteed catch... PERCH, and there were TONS of them. We bought worms from some shop beside the Golden Dragon restaurant. The lady that worked there told us that everybody goes to Bonnie park and fishes off the docks and that it would be completely packed *and it was, at least 10 boats, 30 people, and even a person fishing from some crazy amphibious vehicle. We used worms and 10 gauge hooks with a weight and a float set at about 6 feet. We parked at a mail box because it was close, free, and legal, marked at point 2. Point 3 is the docks we fished from, which had a sign that said something like, "due to unforeseen circumstances fishing is not allowed from something somewhere because of something...." But there were a pile of people fishing from the something somewhere and the conservation boat was there but no authority officers. Good day, then it rained the girls started complaining that it was cold. Constant fish every time you dropped a line in the water. Alot of people were keeping the perch but most were practicing catch and release. A boy who must have been 8 years old with his family was having the best luck it was really cute, he was haulin' them in faster than the grizzle hicks with beer guts and camo on in lawn chairs... and the little dude was shouting MOM, I CAUGHT 7 BIG ONES... which got old when he was yelling mom I CAUGHT 23 BIG ONES.... cute kid. I got my girlfriends friend to take a picture next to me and a whopping 3inch long perch, I'll be sure to post it as soon as I get it in the inbox for proof.
