i hit an east trib and the trout actually out numbed the salmon 2 to 1 so that was pretty neat, i wanted to fly fish but didnt have my rod and i wanted to try spinners but i left em at home, that got me wondering what do you guys prefer, i know the fly guys ( yes you chase lol ) are gonna say flies but some unbiased help would be great, thanks guys and tight lines

You might have better luck with spinners if you're a beginner, but flies work too. It's all about presentation.

I find hardware seems to get larger fish, especially if you are using large blades ( that just may be my findings ). If I had to pick between using flies vs. spinners I'd go with flies. That one particular fly on that one particular day can land numerous fish.
