I've switched over completely in the last couple of years, and have tried a few different lines.
Vanish was my first try, and the comments - use Vanish and watch your fish vanish - are true. It's not leader line anyway. I use Seagar almost exclusively now, but wouldn't mind hearing from others on this. So I fly fish, but that's not what I'm talking about here. Pike, walleye and bass, trolling or casting. i just bought a spool of YO-ZURI Powercarbon to try on my next trip north...any comments?

I use Seagar Abrazex for everything because I haven't had any issues and the price is right. It isn't a leader line but it has worked well for me over the past two years. I use 6, 8 & 10lb for float fishing and I recently picked up 20lb for trolling for salmon in my kayak.

I know drennan "upscales" their line making it sound stronger, but, I use drennan exclusively. You pay for it. But you bank fish. No exceptions. I whaled on 25lb chin dogs all last fall on 5lb drennan.... go figure. Turning them with it too

Seagar Abrazex 100 percent. Best stuff I have ever used and whenever I fish docks in a clear lake, I can trust that it will knock kink out and snap on me. I use 25lbs test leader material for flipping/pitching and 10 for drop shots/tubes/senkos

Drennan all the way!
its thicker then other lines of the same weight class, but its just plain tough and the thickness lends to that strength. ive tried others and they just cant keep up to the reliable drennan

speaking float fishing by the way. ;)

its thicker because its underrated. I also have a spool of drennan 4lb in my pack to go along with the 6,8,10 seaguar. But really in the end its the same diameter as my 6lb so really I don't have anything lighter than 6lb in my pack.

For some reason I still keep on repurchasing the 4lb drennan though, when i'm not getting any hits I convince myself that I am improving my presentation by going down to the 4lb. So in that sense I guess its worth the money, confidence is everything lol.

Do you use it for float fishing as your leader?
No I don't float. Mostly for flipping and pitching around wooded areas that I go to also if I fishing around any docks .

Float Fishing Frog hair 6 lb extremely supple

i second to this! Although a bit pricey, IMO its worth every penny! Landed 20+ lb salmon and 15+ lb steel took a little longer to land due to me being scared of breaking, but for whatever reason i find it harder to break this in lb for lb rating against other brands, just bought myself a 100 yrd spool! LOL!!!

Thanks for the input - no comments on the YO-ZURI Powercarbon? Where do you buy the Drennan?
I've been looking for Yo-Zuri Hybrid, can't find any in the shops in Scargborough/LeBarons/Sail - Where'd you get the power carbon?
