just out of curiosity... and sheer boredom... i'm wondering what types of fishermen we have here. 2 park Question here.

#1. What is your favorite fish to target when fishing?

#2. what is your favorite presentation to catch these fish?

Mine would be bass. (how original)

just because they're fun to fish for, and they can be in so many different environments, its fun to figure them out and get them to bite.

and my way to get them, well i;m a power fisherman, so i;m throwing spinners 98% of the time tryin to cover water and entice the strikes from aggressive fish. the other 2% of the time i;m throwing a topwater for them, buzzbaits and poppers.

close number 2 would have been channel cats, just for the fun fight they put up.

As of now, i think my favourite would have to be crappie fishing. I just picked it up starting last year, and i liked how it was extremely challenging to catch them. I remember being at a given place where the people beside me would catch crappie on every cast while i couldnt catch a single fish during that entire night. I like how these fish require a constant movement and needed a technique even if you were using live bait. Nearing the end of last year, i finally picked up on how to catch these guys, and i just love it to death when you cant see anything and the crappie are jsut splashing aroudn in the top of the water when they are coming in.

I usually am casting for these guys and use a tube jig or different soft plastics. Minnows are sometimes used, depending on who i am fishing with .

I like to fish for Pike, 2nd would be Bass and third Rainbow trout. I'm casting all the time never really use live bait, just spoons, crankbaits, plastic worms(Bass), spinnerbiats & top water. I love top water and in most cases fish 75% top water where I can.

I'm going try to different methods and techniques this year in an effort to learn more.

I like to fish for Pike. good fight and good to eat. I cast or troll a #5 Mepps spinner, one with fur on it. lots of people use spoons unfortunatly I have never had any luck with them. I would like to try muskie this year if anybody knows of a good lake?

I pretty much just fish for bass. Topwater is the way to go for me. This year I'm gonna focus on catching some walleye and maybe go for some crappie too.

Pike,bass,walleye,catfis,trouts-although not necessarily..

..in that order depending on seasons and type of fishing trip i'm on(short day trip vs.longer over-nighter or with kids/nephews-nieces-their little friends or with other hardcore fishing types etc)and of course the ever present ,ever willing panfishes(perch, sunfishes and company).this spring however has been long and cold and even the big panfish spring bonanza has been a little slow.Hoping it warms up soon.

I like catching all fishes! Whatever is available and my targeted species for the day. Sometimes if the targeted species aren't cooperating I'll switch it up and target another species.

I'll fish for anything that swims. But, if it came down to making one choice above all.............PIKE! :)

l like to fish for the odd fish like burbot (ling / fresh water cod / eelpout )
and when its slow i like to fish for carp and northern pike minnow ( not pike) here in bc thats what we call our minnows because they look like a pike but no teeth or marks on the body just green/brown colour and get big my biggest is 12lbs :)
