I co worker offered to sell me a lightly used G. Loomis NRX Rod for $150. What do you all think, is it a good deal?
I think loomis warranty will replace the rod if it blows up. Correct me if I'm wrong.JMatt1983 said:considering they retail for $500+ i'd take it and run, check it carefully for damage before purchasing though
What? Were did this come from? Gary has nothing to do with GLoomis or Shimano.staffman said:NRX are owned by Gary Loomis where as Loomis rods are owned by Shimano and therefore the warranties are separate.
And this is why rod companies no longer do warranty replacements free of charge!CJR said:I think loomis warranty will replace the rod if it blows up. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I know a guy who bought a used GLX, snap it over his knee in order to get a brand new one.
