Always at Lasalle and they seem to hit everything you throw. When you feel your senko being dragged around but can't hook up... goby. If you can get past them there are some great fish to be had there though.

Ive always found fishing 3-4 feet off the bottom with a float usually keeps them off. You get the odd adventurous one that will come up and check out your bait, but a minnow or good chunk of worm under a float will usually help you hook into some jumbos or bucketmouths at Lasalle.

I caught a sculpin under the skyway last year. It was huge, about 10 or 11 inches long.

I find they are really bad at port dover. Cant stand those things wat a pest! I might just go one day and fill up a garbage bag full of them and then let the seagulls gorge on them :D

I was wondering why I wasn't catching so much Rockbass the past couple yrs on Simcoe... I remember catching 50 a day, too the point of annoyance... Then while perch fishing at Barrie waterfront I started catching 5" - 8" Goby.... Guess these things are out competing the Rockies for the same niche.

I saw this at the canal on Fishermans Pier. Apparantly there they get big enough to fillet.

the worse part is how the carcass is just their on the floor... at least throw in back in the water or hurl it near a seagull or fern.. darn dirty hooligans.

Ur not allowed to throw it back in the water even if it is dead...I would have just thrown it in the bushes, or like you said given to the seagulls

Damn Gobys. They are the hugest annoyance and hazard. I've killed dozens in a day before.
I've been told that they make good bass bait though.

I fed 11 gobies to one juvenile seagull and another 8 to another seagull 2 days ago at port. It is actually very satisfying seeing gobies being dispatched, especially when anther animal is benifiting from it.
