Ahh those goliath.. what a fish !! I had a feeling you were talking about those giant groupers or "mega sized bass" when you mentioned the fish that you saw was over 500 lbs. One of my favorite youtube fishing vids is of this charter captain trying to battle one of these fish all the while breaking his fishing rod mid-fight, I posted a link to the vid below. I would truly be a little intimidated to try and even catch one, that fish could easily pull you outta the boat if you aren't careful LOL

Quite the fish eh. I think he wasn't the smartest to rest the rod on the corner of the boat,lol. I would love to catch one, but watching him be so exhausted, i'd be even worse! lol.

For having caught that fish on tape, just being able to say you did, is worth almost any amount of rods to me,lol.
