GOSD Opening Weekend

managed to make it out for the opening weekend of the Great Ontario Salmon Derby this past Sunday. I tried trolling in close and all the way out to 170' before finally hooking into two nice eaters on the same pass heading West in 130'. Nothing worth racing in to get a weigh in for the derby but they sure were delicious in the smoker. The first fish came on a spin doctor/fly about 30' down and the second came on spoon 60' down. Next weekend can't come soon enough, there's still 6 more Saturdays left to register a truck winning fish!
