Amazing fishery. Walleye and pike galore. Ask them to drive you out to their smallmouth lake, best day I ever had. You won't be disappointed.

Never even heard of Gowanda Lake. When I googled it, something may or may not have come up in NY. Where exactly is it?

I think it's gowganda they mean, not too sure though.
I'm also gonna guess it's a lake that's very far north, which not very many people get to go to.

Supposedly it's ~580 km north of Toronto. IMO anywhere north of Sudbury and the fishing is FANTASTIC.

Yup, North of Sudbury, even North of of New Liskerd. I went maybe 5 years ago, can't remember the outfitter. It was awsome. The main Lake is full of pike and walleye and a couple of smallies. But there are about 5 other lakes that they have tinnies on, just gotta wake up early and get a motor and a tank of gas a drive to it or they'll drop you off. One lake had nothing but smallies; I personally caught over 50 that day alone. Morning was hot on the chugbug, afternoon when the sun was high trick was was finding weedbeds and ripping cranks through 'emm - best smallie day ever.
