This is my PB largie. I didn't want to take the extra time to weigh it since I needed that extra time to unravel him from the mess he made of my line and also to turn on the camera and set it to 10 second delay. Though I always have the camera set up on mini tripod before fishing.

What do you think? 4lbs?

I would think I'd have a 5 pounder by now considering that I do fish quite a bit but I fish smaller lakes due to the size of my boat. My hypothesis is that you have a better chance of catching a 5lb+ bass in bigger waters than smaller waters but that you have a better chance of avoiding the skunk in the smaller waters due to the fish being concentrated more. Well that's based on my experiences though 2 guys I know well have caught a 5 pounder in the last few years in small waters. One on a lake I have fished twice and he got it from shore. The other in an urban pond from shore. He also caught a 3 pounder that day.

I'd say 3-4lbs. I agree smaller water will normally produce smaller average size. Many rivers get a run of smallies in the summer go try them with your small boat, some big fish and numbers.

You have to put into consideration about your own dimension before someone can guess the weight of the fish you're holding. If you're 6feet 5inches then that fish would look small even though it's actually huge.

^ya wat dilligaf said, also camera angles can make the fish look bigger or smaller than it actually is..but it looks like around a 3 pounder to me

Hey! I have a similar boat! Did you do any mods? Mine is in the process of getting decked out. I'm going to start a thread right now actually!

What these guys said for sure, but assuming you're average height and weight then I'd say 3.5 lbs.
this was my first guess when i caught it and was talking to the guys nearby on the water.

oh i remember your boat! we discussed it along with curious onlookers a few months ago on another thread.

looking at the floor you made i was impressed. i was thinking the same thing and have done a little research the past few days.

when i was in the US for 2 weeks or so i was on the water a few times for between 7 and 8.5 hours. i was getting all twisted up sitting in my boat and started to wish i could stand up, especially when working the shore and lily pads.

i have a rapala scale and i don't trust it. or maybe it's my cousin's scale but one day we each caught fish and weighed our own fish with our own scales. the fish were similar but the weights were way more different than it should have been. then we said next fish we'll use both scales. there was a half pound difference.

anyway, i plan on finding a bigger PB this summer! and i'll weigh it this time.
