Gulp alive

Hi, I am going ice fishing up north in the next couple of weeks and was wondering if anyone has tried gulp alive? I have heard a lot of good reviews but I was wondering if anyone has ice fished with them? I was going to bring up some minnows and I was wondering if the gulp alive is as good?I will be fishing for Walleye, trout and white fish.Cheers, Paul

I live in Muskoks and fish the big three lakes all winter. I have used the gulp minnow on a jig head or jigging spoon with success for Lakers. As long as you are providing the action, I think the scent does its trick. I find a stinger hook works best. The best gulp alive bait I use is the 3" white twister tail on a 1/4 - 3/8 oz. white jig head. The Lakers and Walleye will go for it. Tip them with a small minnow as well for a deadly combo.
