"Hello" from near Ottawa, Ontario

Hi!

My name is Chris and I live near Ottawa, Ontario. I am a "hobby" fisherman with a Sport Fishing license. I fish when time allows; although, I make time for Salmon (during the fall) and Steelhead fishing (in the Spring) in Port Hope.

My main experience is Bass Fishing and most of my fishing tackle is based around this. I tend to do most of my Bass Fishing in the Lanark County area (don't ask me why, it just seems to work out that way) and I am usually pleased with the results.

Given this, I've started to expand my equipment which now includes my very first Fly Rod combo set that I purchased this past winter. Now, I cannot wait to get out on the East Trib again! Here's to hoping that I easily grasp the fly-casting technique...

Anyways, I realize that this is a short introduction, but I cannot think of anything further to say... Fish On!

Howdy Chris - if you're looking to have someone teach you a thing or two I suggest you connect wth someone through the board. You shouldn't have a problem finding another member to hook up with, especially with the rock solid fly guys we have on board here. I believe there were two fly meets last year - people get together and fish

Hey Chris.

Im from Ottawa also, and make several trips to the East Tribs most years.

This year I started Centre Pinning, and picked up a fly rod over summer.

Send me a note a couple of buddies of mine are into fly, so we'll try to do a bit this summer in the calabogie area.
