Hi all,

Girlfriend just moved to London and we recently tried the Thames at Greenway Park and Springbank Dam between the islands and the dam itself. Long story short, we got skunked, which surprised me regardless of going on a hot day between 1-5 in the afternoon.

I am heading up there again this week and we will be going at night this time. Have been reading about a few other spots, as I am more accustomed to ponds and lakes than rivers. Considering the Westminster ponds and Pond Mills, or head back to the Thames in a new spot as everything I read is positive about the river.

Does anyone know if there are shore fishing spots on either of these pond areas? Parking lots around?

Any tips for the thames? Usually have a good grasp on targeting bass, but I'm hoping the "skunking" last time was due to the time of day.

Trying to get the girlfriend hooked on fishing, need some help!

Thanks!

The only information that Ican offer you is that according to the fishing regulations two years ago, the Thames river has no limit to amount of walleye you can take. So my guess is that it's a prime walleye river fishing grounds.

There are a couple of Facebook sites dedicated to fishing in London. One is Forest city anglers and the other is Fish On London Ontario Anglers.
