Help Improve Lake Ontario

Ontario Fishing Forums

Help Support Ontario Fishing Forums:

I only managed 8 votes. Still better than none. Hope it makes it to the next round. Nov 14 new round begins, I think it's still in the running but I can't tell.

Wish this thread had been posted in the Salmon Trout sub-forum. I would have noticed it before today, but I haven't been on this sub-forum for a while as I am fishing Trout at this time of year mainly. I have 6 different emails so that would have been an additional 90 votes had I known earlier.
Can anyone give me an update as to how the first round ended? I'll keep an eye on this thread now that I have found it. I hope Ringwood is still alive, I have toured the facility and think it was a great place.

Alfie.

Thanks grubman, I'm in this round. I'm working on casting some votes right now. I guess I have some emails to open to finish my registration.

Hey guys I got an email from the spoon pullers forum and I thought it would be beneficial to pass the email onto the forum to get more votes. If the organization mentioned in the email receives the funding they are aiming for it will provide great benefits to both trib fisherman and deep water fisherman.

Much thanks to Aviva Insurance for investing money into social responsibilty initiatives like this.

Email Below**

Hello Fellow Spoonpullers

For those of you who frequent Spoonpullers during the fishing year on Lake Ontario and enjoy our fishery...I have a small request.
The guys from the Ringwood Hatchery have secured a deal with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources to keep the Ringwood Hatchery open and running and are looking for some assistance from those who reap the benefits of their hard work.
There is a fundraising contest being put on by Aviva Insurance that will award funds to projects and Ringwood Fish Culture Station is looking for help to secure a win.

To help all you have to do is vote your support for the initiative. You can vote 15 times for each email address you have.

Tell your friends, family and co-workers. Every vote counts. All it takes is a couple of clicks on your computer to help make a difference.

Ringwood is currently in the second round of voting and could use the help from all the Spoonpullers out there.

Visit.. http://www.avivacommunityfund.org/ideas/acf11597 and cast your votes

Thank You for supporting Ringwood Fish Culture Stationand our beloved Lake Ontario Fishery
I registered all my emails but am only allowed one vote from one email. When I try my others I get a message that I have already voted today.

Nado, thanks, but they sent me a email that it's still in the running. When I looked in the 60, I did'nt find it either. But with the search it's still in the running.

Alfie I did not have any problems, not sure how to help you there.

I have been able to sign up with a total of 3 different emails. Here is how to make it really easy for everyone to vote.
1. Register with email addy
2. Sign in with addy
3. Enter "raising fish" in the search window, click search or enter
4. Cast your vote, DO NOT CLOSE THIS WINDOW YET
5. Save in any folder in your Favorites. I saved in my blogs folder, and change the title just a little such as add the name of the email service to differenciate it from other email addys you plan to register with. You are done. Now you can close this window.
6. Repeat with another of your email addy, and continue with steps 1-5 for how many emails you want to register with. You are done!!!! You still have to register but you've gone directly to the page to vote, no search again.

I hope I did'nt confuse anyone. Any questions let me know. Thanks for your vote.

Alfie

Make sure they sent you a confirmation for your other emails. I registered with one other of mine but never got the confirmation.

All, don't forget to vote, 13 days left and it's gonna be close.

Whats going on here?
http://www.avivacommunityfund.org/ideas/acf11597

I cast my vote yesterday with no problems and then today I try to vote again and it says "sorry this idea did not receive enough votes to make it to the semi finals".

Nado
When I open your link I get the page with 682 votes. The page says that I have to wait til midnight to vote again. I think you have to try again. Good luck.

ya its working for me now too, must have been a bug or something

We really need everyone to vote. I just got a email about project standings so far. Ringwood is in 5 place short by some 600+ votes. We need everyone to participate. Post on any other forum that you are a member of about Ringwood.
Thanks all who voted.

I did get confirmations at all my emails but still keep getting the same message if I try a second vote from a different email, I think it must be an IP thing. At least I'm getting in 1 vote every day.

If I don't sign out of the first email, it won't let me vote with any other email. For me saving the voting page did not work out as I had planned with multiple emails, it only works with one email.

Have you tried deleting your cookies?

Thanks for voting and trying, one vote is better than none.

For all who only check the new content. Don't forget to vote!!!!!!!!!! Ringwood is far behind and needs your vote to stay open.

Thanks all who voted.
