I'm looking at the zone 16 regs but it's confusing as hell.

Their website says to look at the regulations.. so.. yeah. No help there.

a google map of the region..with parking would get you some more responses.... i think.

It's very simple if you read them. I will give you a step by step.

1. Go to this website http://www.mnr.gov.on.ca/en/Business/LetsFish/Publication/STEL02_163615.html and scroll down to where it says 2013 Ontario Recreational Fishing Regulations Summary

2.Click on How to Use This Summary
and Table of Contents so you know how to use the summary of regulations. Then click back and click Angling Best Practices so you are familiar with general fishing practices if you don't already know about them.

3. Click Licence Information and Fishing Regulations, it will explain the general fishing regulations and terms as well as licence information. Click back

4. Once you have finished steps 1-3 you can now look into specific regulations in regards to the location(s) you are fishing.
In your specific case you will click Zone 16.

5.Once the ZONE 16 PDF is loaded scroll down to page 2 where it says Zone 16 Seasons and Limits. Then look at the species you are looking to target ie: Northern Pike. Check the dates of when the open seasons are. You then must then scroll down the pages and you MUST CHECK THE EXCEPTIONS. If for example "LAKE X" is not listed then you will continue to follow the open season dates listed above. If "LAKE X" is listed then you must read and follow the regulation posted.
