Helping out a novice!

Hello all
I am going up for my annual fishing trip to nippising( May 21-24th,08)
usually catch walleye and or pike any tips or suggestions?
Any help you could offer would be much appreciated

vinnylep I've fished other lakes up there smaller so I went to friend to get advice for ya:


They said:

"Been there many times, huge water for Muskie and pike. We usually fish the West Arm near a town called Levigne. The water is deep in most places but it does get shallow in the middle on the way to North Bay, and he should fish the shoals, thats where the monsters are. There are some nice ones in the middle and that's where we like to hang out. Also Warren Bay has been good to us, but remember this is the West Arm which is quite far from North Bay for example. In that area, we have fished for Pike at drop offs and in the weeds."

I believe we are on the West Arm it's Camp Shuswap by Noelville
We tend to have our best look closer to shore

Hey Vinnylep,

I head up to North Bay a few times a year for Pike and I've always had good luck on the North Shore around the Beaucage Park area. We generally troll through the weed beds about 50 - 100 yards off shore.

We are a bunch of novices and tend to like still fishing much more than trolling
Any particular bait's lower or presentations i should be using?
Last year i had my best year ever using a white 1/16 oz crappy jig with a minnow i caught a bunch of hammer handles and 6 lbs pike and a 3 lbs pickeral
