hole in wall

Hey guys the "hole in the wall" is actually on Lake Scugog...It's directly across from Goreskis where the snowmobile trail meets the lake...It literally is a small opening for the trail with dense trees around...Pretty good ice fishing spot but no mutated fish lol.

Hey toronto_angler, I knew about the Scugog reference, but I don't think that's the hole in the wall that Efka was talking about. I searched and found two more references to hole in the wall.. one was a section of a tributary somewhere near Elora, another was a part of Georgian Bay. I still don't know if either of those match what Efka was talking about. Or maybe he did go and the fishing was so incredible that now he's sworn to secrecy?

I know of the Hole In The Wall...legend has it, and it was told to me by a French man named "Frenchie", So I was fishing up in Pointe Au Barrell with some friends and familly late last year, and when I got home informed Frenchie what a crappy 3 days of fishing was had, (5 Guys...3 Days...14 hours a day... 1 fish...Priceless) frenchie Then says to me...Ohhhh you shoulda went to "The Hole In The Wall", it was 15 min boat ride away...best fishing he has ever seen...he`s old too, doesnt look it, but theres something in that Verdun water that makes these frenchman young and strong, man!...anyways thats all he really said to me, so I think it is up near Pointe Au Barrell on Georgian Bay.

Thanks David. I couldn't resist digging some more after reading your post.

With the information you gave, added to what Efka said about it being in the Owen Sound area, I assumed that the hole in the wall had to be in Georgian Bay. I think that I may have located the mysterious Hole in the Wall that Efka was talking about.

This hole in the wall refers to a narrow straight between 2 islands (Wall Island and Huckleberry Island), near Parry Sound. It is a Parry Sound area tourist attraction that tourist sight-seeing tour boats go through during the summer. It's also frequented by sailboats, canoes etc... I didn't find any reference to the fishing at this spot yet.

Does this sound right to you Efka?

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of this site?

There's an awsome Glory hole in Owen Sound...LMAO

Exactly, I thought we were supposed to share spots on here. By telling us of this spot, you won't all of a sudden have 20 or 30 guys there at that spot tomorrow. If it is in Owen Sound, nobody will drive that far for starters when there are lots of holes much closer.

Dirk...
