I just picked up these lures and have used them before and they have alway's worked really good for Bass Pike Salmon and Rainbow and other's tell me they have caught a lot of Walleye with them as well.

Now let's see who's the first to identify them.

I always thought they were called Canadian Wigglers?
Canadian Wigglers are 2nd on my - "if i only had one lure"- list.
Next to a #2 silver Mepps Aglia.

These "ping-a-tees" look to be about the same as a Wiggler

staffman's right they are called Ping A Tee's and they are a really lure for Casting or Trolling and Flatlining in fast rapids.

Very cool, my guess was older Kwikfish or Canadian Wigglers. Are these lures old?

I haven't seen them in stores for at least the last ten years and it's a shame because salmon love them. I only have a few left.

I don't when they were first made but my Dad had some when I was just a kid and I'm 40

I think they were made somewhere around the 60's or 70's when they first started to show up at Tackle Shop's and were made until the 80's or 90's I think.

Give J&S Tackle a call at 519-832-2827

I know they started making them again someone else purchased the mold's.

I know J&S got an order in earlier this year and sold out but are getting more back in this this Fall from what they told me.

What Colour do you like the best for Salmon and how did you fish them Trolling or just Casting.

They sort of resemble a Flatfish which I used for Pike and Bass, I still have some in my box, but haven't used in a long time.

The Ping A Tee's will do a big roll in the water if they are Trolled to fast to let you know you are working them at to fast of a speed,it's been so long since I have used a Flat fish lure can you tell me if they do the samething.

I like the green back white belly the best , and I cast them in rivers using a slow retrieve.

They are very similar with subtle differences
Actually, they may look similar but are quite different in action. Kwikfish/flatfish float whereas wigglers sink. Wigglers dig in quite deep so they are a deep diving crankbait that can be easily cast. The Kwik is poor for casting any dist but is good for trolling. When trolling they can be running quite shallow whereas the wiggler will be very deep.

Just a FYI---Sun was a bit windy for float fishing at the Geen so I switched to lures. The first cast with a skunk pattern flatfish hooked a good sized bow(pic in other thread). In that situation I just cast into the very fast water, let it float the lure downsteam and then swing it in an arc into the slower water as I did a very slow retrieve.
