Ice fishing baby!

I know its not winter yet but I am very excited for ice fishing this year. I tried ice fishing last year and its very addicted eheh we landed so much perch in lake simcoe near snake island. This year I want to catch white fish or a lake trout however he have no boat and we just walk on the ice and it usually take an hour to reach 80 ft of water on where we go ice fishing. Does anyone know a place to fish for lake trout and white fish that requirs only a short period of walk ahaha

 

YEAH MAN! You know up from lefroy and out the ice is decorated with huts, but it's a bit of a walk. I iced a whitefish that I marked on the Humminbird in the middle of the water. It must have been lost and hungry or something, but idk. This year i'm gonna do some major steelheading during ice season. Can't wait.

How far do you guys go out.....

I`ve been ice fishing a handfull of times and only got perch and smaller pikes.

Really new to the ice fishing scene, I went to Keswick once and the trucks on the ice just freaks me out when they pass by the huts.
