Hi,
I was just wondering.I am planning on going camping on Stoney lake this summer and I am not sure if I can camp on any of the islands?? Are they all crown land? are they owned? before I make the trip just wanted to get a heads up.
Any help would be great.
Thanks

For any non-privately owned land, just be courteous and clean up after yourself and you won't have a problem.

anything that is not private or a no access sanctuary is open to camp for up to 22 days in the same spot--if you look up crown land maps it will tell you where on the lake you are good

This site will link to land use maps and policies. Islands are usually crown land, but double check just to be sure.

if its attached under water to a property it can be owned by people however most are crown
