Island Pike Sunday

[YAWN]

Only got in maybe 3 hours on the island and had this to show for it:

Silver Cyclops my favorite lure same thing the trout came off a while back.

How it happened is something else.

Sat down at the dragon boat stands and rigged up and sparked one puff puff.

Hop over the bar and take the first cast lure messes up, second cast BOOOM felt like a snag till I felt the tail.

Not a long fight but a heavy feeling fish.

Unhooked and released all my excitement came on the second cast and that was it:

Hey YAWN, thats not a bad little Pike...congrats. I was on the Island yesterday, too bad I didn`t run into you. I myself caught naught, but am going back today...again congrats on your Pike.

Just so u know that aint my finger holding his toothy lip, he swallowed the lure right down and I was holding the end of that while taking the pix, I did manage to get it out pretty easy he'll survive no problem!

Hah, at least you caught something :lol: I luv starting out at that spot, and working my way out to the other side. Did you try around the boathouse at all ? or maybe not since it was a short visit ?
