After leaving the house around 5pm on Friday afternoon, I was battling traffic and when I got to Oshawa, I screamed **** and realized the baits I restocked on were still in my garage. I was pissed but continued on my journey. Could have used them as I ran out and had to go with other colours and sizes. Still effective though.

I looked back at pics from last years Labour Day long weekend and the first thing I noticed was that the weather was very similar, overcast, rain and wind. The second thing I noticed was that I only have a pic of one small bass from that entire weekend. Either I didn't fish, or in a year I have become a better angler, whatever the case when I compare it to this weekend, it was much better then last years.

Saturday I did the usual early AM outing and after about 2 hours on the water I managed maybe close to 10 or 12 bass. Nothing huge, mostly dinks but a few decent sized ones.

Saturday at midnight after I woke from a fog on the couch I saw a sweet light show as the lightning was amazing. Followed by rain and thunder.

Sunday morning I was up early and ready to go before sunrise but the water was quite rough. Some big swells and I waited to go out then it rained a bit. I finally made it out at 7:30 and the water and wind were unbearable so after about an hour I headed back in after landing only 1 bass. Quite frustratring, thank you mother nature.

Monday morning up at the crack of dawn again and fished for a couple of hours. Wind picked up and managed about 15 bass. Mostly dinks a few average sized ones.

I spent time fooling around with my new HD camera and managed to get several other catches and losses on video. A great weekend considering the conditons and lack of time on the water.

great pics. Sometimes I wonder if your are reusing pics as they always look the same with your 2 bass head forward pose lol jk. Sounds like a better weekend than I had fishing, had 2 big carp straighten out my salmon hooks after only 15 seconds of being on my line...

Boat control always makes it more difficult to get them in the boat for sure. We went camping last week(tues-fri), and bailed a day early due to weather. With weird weather fronts we focused on walleye intead of bass.(ended up with a dozen or so walleye throughout the week) After getting home and resting for a couple of days we went out to local waters on sunday and got into a few fish, but with the cold weather front the action was less than spectacular.(3 bass and 3 pike in 5 hours)

Awesome fish!! I haven't gotten any fishing done lately but next wknd im getting out for some salmon for sure!!
