Hey Everyone,

I'm going up to Lake Kashagawigamog in a couple of weeks and I've never been there before. Apparently there are Muskie but from what I've read on a couple of other forums, you really have to work hard for you bites. Has any of you guys gone up there recently? Any tips or advice? I'm just starting off to really get into fishing so any help would be appreciated!

I've done lots of research on Muskie but they seem like a big fish to catch and I'm not to confident about catching them, seem pretty intimidating to be honest.

My inlaws have a cottage on Lake "Kash".
I usually fish it a couple times a year, mainly targeting walleye and bass.

Last year i got my first musky there while trolling for walleye.
They are definately in there, but i wouldnt waste time targeting them.

The only ones ive ever heard caught in there have been caught "accidentally", i dont think they are populated heavily enough to go "musky fishing".

Overall fish populations on that lake are pretty poor if you ask me. Walleye fishing is tough, bass arent overly plentiful, and musky are sparse.

I'll do my best and let you know how it goes.

Thanks for all the info!

Let me know for sure.
Best fishing in that lake is done off points (like most lakes).

Troll over the points in 7-12' of water. Worm harness or mid running plugs.

As for bass fishing, try it all... Smallies on rocks, largemouth if you can find'em? I can't figure bass out there...

Hey buddy!

Just got back yesterday, thanks for all the info. I fished right off the dock and ended up catch 6-8 Perch, most of them small and I miss a GIANT large mouth. It was just sitting on the bottom of the dock with minnows sitting right on top of him so I threw on my topwater frog and he went after it right away. As soon as I got him hooked, told my girlfriend to grab my net because he was SO much bigger than he looked out of water when he sprung up but she was too excited and as soon as I put my hand on him he wiggles off the hook. '

Was still an unreal time! Thanks for all the info!

there was a million little sunfish too and keep in mind i'm new at fishing so every fish got me really excited! Fishing in the evening was the best!
