lake suggestions

Planning a 4-5 day portage/fishing trip for this spring. Species id like to focus on is pike and or bass i do not have alot of experience fishing trout. I have experience in the algonquin 60 corridor i.e shall lakes/booth. looking to go north of that area but will take any suggestions, within a 8-10 hour drive from hamilton. the more secluded the lake the better.

Within an 8 - 10 hour drive from Hamilton bass season won't open till the end of June. Better stick to pike and walleye. There's good pike fishing in the Cochrane area, it's around 10 hours but worth it.
