The Gulp Minnows? Depends on how you're fishing, if you're in a boat trolling I'd use a 3/8 oz ball jig to get it down fast and stay near the bottom, if from shore I'd use a #4 siwash type hook and 12-16 inches up pinch on a couple of split shots vary the retreive, slow and fast, find what works. Put on a swivel below the split shot to prevent line twist. Same method with these Mini-Worms.

Good luck, where you usually fish?

Thanks for the reply. I usually fish at the Toronto Island but am planning on trying the HarbourFront some time this week... I know a few places close to where I live for bass and sunfish, but tone got over run quick after people saw me fishing there. It used to be that I would be the only one who fished it for months, now I'm lucky if I can get a spot... I keep the rest close to my chest.

What action does the minnow have in the water if the tail is forked? (I am assuming that we are talking about the minnow in the photo attached) The minnow imitator that I like using is the Zoom Super Fluke Jr. with a swim paddel tail.

dats the baby i ordered today!!! woooohooooooo!!

the super flukes and the lunker city fish doodles.... add some Gulp juice, squint a little and ya never know they aren't pricier Gulp Minnows :D

Oh yahh i remember last season..i believe it was maybe later than now...say about a few weeks. even walmart had a little clearance section..some good quality stuff was priced way down!..so if ur there..do take a look.

is that clearance at all CT's?

Sorry Nato I missed your post. Sept CT puts stuff on clearance depends on if the store has stock to get rid of. Every store will have different stuff and quantity, so go to all and any you pass by. You could even haggle with the manager about the prices, worth a shot. That's the Frugler's Rule: #3 If it's not cheap enough haggle until it is....lol. Beat them down to low ball.....lol

Good luck.

I used Frugler Rule #3 at a CT 4 years back searching for a canoe, late in the season they had a 14 foot Old River for 600 bucks, talked to the manager and he said he would knock off 100 bucks... never went thru with it but it can work! (14 was just too much canoe for a single paddler).

Yup that's how a got a Rapala baitcaster. It was originally $100 but the tip was broken, no matter I had a rod, one handle on the reel broken, it still has one. I said it's only worth $20 to me, and the manager told the cashier to ring it up. Bango. Now I just have to learn how to use it....lol.

They still have some at dollarama's in the Tool section..........Im in London, the dollarama in the citymall had spinners, and some other stuff still on Friday.

But the main seasonal isle where most of the fishing stuff had been was cleared out.

I had a wicked popper that caught me a bunch of Smallie's....best $1.50 ive ever spent!!!

thanx for puting the word out.

Thanks for the heads up, I will have to grab a popper there next time I see one. Never used one yet, but I've seen how deadly they can be for bass and other fish.

Today I did a round on a few Dolaramas.
I have found crayfish, pre-rigged with an external weight system, different colours, $1.20 each. Nice. Picked up 2 Spinner Baits $2 a piece.

In toys section found very interesting toys. Stretchable Spiders, Snakes, Lizards and Caterpillars, need sinker, thou, very lite and floats. Pack of 10, different colours, $2 a pack. Wonder if this can be used for a bate.

I got one of those crayfish recently too, have yet to try it. Definitely looks promising though. Not the cheapest at $1.25 for one, but looks better than any crayfish I have seen at tackle shops.

Holy crap, that spider scares the hell out of me just think how the bass gonna flee from it........lol.

That's it I'm heading out to the $rama and CT. CT had some fishing stuff on clearance. I picked up Berkley's Gulp Mini worms in natural for $3.13, 42 worms per bottle. See the reviews on BP and I've have great catches with them.

See you guys at the $rama........lol.

Are those the small brown worms? If so I get them for trout, an they work wonders when water is semi clear to clear. Yum yum

Who knows they might think it is an octopus?
Freshwater octopus?.....lol.

Yup they only had the brown ones on clearance. The red wigglers were still $6 a bottle. I don't know if the red ones are better. I have tried actual red wigglers before nothing took that.
