Last Weekend At the Island

I decided to head out for my long awaited pike season opener. And it was not very good. I saw a single Pike but didn't see anything else. no bowfin, carp and bass that I'm used to seeing. we starting at centre island and walked all the way to wards casting along the way but there was nothing. Ontario place seems like a promising location cause of there dense weed bed. I'm considering heading out there in a couple of week. if people do see or catch fish at centre island feel free to let me know.

Thanks for the info. I would definitely try Ontario place... and do let us know how you make out... I've heard some very good things about that spot in past years.

Never fished it myself but I'm familiar with Lake Ontario pike fishing in nearby spots, and I always have the best luck in the middle of the summer. I wouldn't be surprised if I went to some of my hot spots now and got skunked or just got one.
