Lews Reels and Dobyns Rods....

Wondering if any one here can help me out i am in search of Dobyns rods and Lews reels . Does any one know of any dealers for either of these products in Ontario?

Yeah no luck, i hear on another forum fishing world in hamilton can order in Dobyns rods. Would really like to get my "hands on" both products before buying site unseen, both get great reviews on most of the U.S bass forums, and when i do a google search for reviews they are always excellent.
I have sent both companies emails asking about Canadian dealers guess i will have to wait to see what they say.

But if anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated

depending on how much you want to drive, go over the boarder and find a dealer close to where you live. to me it is longer to travel to hamilton.

I have a friend who is on pro staff for lews and he likes the reels, I ended up buying one and a duckett rod for my dads swimbait road and they seem to perform well for the money.

As far as dobyns, Ive heard a lot of great things about them they have a few different series so it depends on how much youre looking to spend. I'm partial to gloomis, they've been making them for years and they set the standard for quality rods.

Thanks for the feed back everyone, yeah it sucks a lot of good products don't make it to our shelves here in Canada, If it comes down to it I guess I will find the closes store in the states and make a trip down there to check them out.

The Dobyns rods get great reviews, and I only hear great things about Lews reels.

Well a little succes found the distrubutor for ontario ( located in Beamsville ), looks like Both Fishing World and Bill’s Bait and Tackle in Hamilton will carrying Lews reel in early spring.

Still looking for Dobyns rods.......

Gagnon sports in oshawa has lews im pretty sure... On kijiji.. (If youre into that , i am) a pro staff guy is selling like 5 or 6 dobyns rods hardly used.. Worth a look

I got my Dobyns champ 735c from Pro J at a good price. Last time I checked they still had some in stock. Outperforms my older crucial in all aspects, def. a good rod imo.

Cheers, I think I am going to take a drive out there and check them out, Do you remember how much you paid? I have a budget of 500.00 for a Dobyns rod and going to pick up a Lews reel.

I dont have a lews ive had 3 dobyns absolutely loved them. Gagnon is worth a drive awesome store awesome staff.. And you will be able to buy a lot of rods for the 5 hundo off this prostaffer he wants in and around 130 each and theyre beauties

While youre at gagnon have a look at the simax rods. They are gorgeous im dying to get into one.. Im close with a prostaffer and am hoping to pick a couple up or this bass season. Its an up and coming brand but has had unbelievable reviews all positive and truly is going to be an awesome brand have a look at gagnon before u buy dobyns

i dont remember the price but the retail was on par...ask him if he can do a better price and most likely he can. You don't need 5 bills for the rod just look online for pricing.
