We all have used Worms, Leechs, Frogs Minnow and Meal worms, but what about other baits.... Slugs, grass-hoopers ect... no where in the regs does it say that you can or can-not use them. (Other then you can not use Salamanders) Anyone have an opinon on this??

Pretty much any live critter will work. I have related this before, but I lived in a park with a stream that held Specks. When the heat of the summer set in the Specks seemed to lose their appetites.
One day I caught a grass-hopper, put it on my hook and caught a nice Brookie right away. I started paying kids that were nearby to catch me hoppers. I sat and caught trout all day while those around me sat and looked on mystified.

Alfie.

I actually had a similar experience as Alfie.
When I was really young, me and my friends used to chip in and buy a can of corn as bait for a day of fishing. One day, I got this bright idea to pick a grasshopper and throw it on my hook.. Caught my first bass like that!
