Hello to all!!

I am just wondering where to buy live worms around GTA (any season)

Can everyone reply with every single locations of where you can buy live worms around GTA?

All I know is... Lebron at markham (too far just to get a worm), BPS (as far just for a worm).

Umm... I would really appreciate if every one could share this informations.

Thank you.

the first time i went fishing i tried the glow in the dark worms and my hands were all green after...

i think canadian tire might have some too, but i havent buoght any from them.

you could always look at baseball diamonds when it rains... i alway see them hanging around there when i jog... (only in cold rain though for some reason) the big fat ones that is.

hey, i went to renew my license few days ago to CanadianTire and the don't do fishing license anymore.
Why?

oh and btw...

not just a place near me but i would like build a list of different stores you can buy worms from around GTA.

The 3 places that I usually get my worms have already been mentioned, but you can add to the list Gagnon sports in Oshawa, Tight Lines in Pickering and Al Flaherty's on Dufferin.

I'm not sure why Crappy Tire doesn't sell fishing licenses any more. ;)

I don't think they have a website, but here:
Lucky Fishing Tackles (ºÃÔËÓã¾ß)
4227 Sheppard East (at Midland) (416) 609-3683

Not sure about the phone number though. It's 24 hours and it's a chinese store. I think they have live leeches and other live baits too. And they used to issue licenses.

Best way is to pick your own at night with a flashlight after a rain during the day. They are free and you can pick as many as you want!

you could also catch minnows for bait too, just build a minnow trap and catch hundreds of them... use a tough line to hold to shore though, i lost a few like that and the traps become minnow tombs...

wonder if there is a simialr trap for worms? someone told me something about a flat board on grass overnight or something

There is a store with large 'LIVE BAIT' sign right at the corner of Jane St. & Hwy 400.

and another fishing shop (not sure if they sell baits) at Jane St. & Lawrence.

Yup the place at Jane st. is FOL (Fish Online Canada) http://www.fishonlineca.com , they have a excellent selection of live bait always, the guys that run the place are fairly young & specialize in steelheading + its beside the humber river (half a block away).

The Canadian Tire here in Oshawa sells fishing licences...never heard of CTC not having them available...

I use only plastic worms, been several years since used real ones and have actually caught more fish with the plastic - mainly due to them lasting longer. You can rig them in more ways also.

Its not the same place.. lol Proline specializes in taxidermy, while FOL sells/makes steelheading gear & great steelhead flies, talk to Kris at FOL or better yet give them a call. A great place to stop in & get some roe, flies etc, plus any advice/tips before heading to the humber or credit.
