Times change, markets make money for companies. Keep it simple if you like, but I like to change things up and it produces more and bigger fish when you change and try new baits.
I don't know personally I find it more challenging to find structure with my own senses. A steep sloping bank equals a deep drop off. A subtle change in current concealing a weary 15 lb rainbow in a barely visible back eddy. Knowing when to throw a surface plug to fish chasing a mayfly hatch. Using 60lb braid for a 5lb fish in 10 lbs of weeds when 10 pound would suffice. This is the sort of thing Iam talking about technology has ruined what fishing should be
