Hi everyone,

I'm an avid fisherman and while I've lived in London for many years I am just now getting back into the sport.

I've read many of he previous posts regarding London fishing in the summer and spring months.

Does anyone know of any productive and open river fishing spots in London at this time of the year. Looking to hit up some pike if possible.

I'm not equipped for ice fishing yet.

Thanks!

Welcome! Panfish are always an option and will live in pretty much a puddle. Grab a rod some hooks and worms and head to any bit of water. Move often until you get some fish!

Hey Mojo
Is pike open in your area? Check the regs frist then check the MNR site, I don't have the exact page but they list what lakes have what and where they stock fish. Also check your local tackle shops, just don't get sucked into buying more stuff......... ;)

Good luck. Don't forget to post pics.

The water is always open by the Greenway pollution plant, and beneath Fanshawe darn. I don't know if anybody catches anything there at this time of year.

I havent had any luck in the thames in the wintertime - but some people have. Look for areas with warmer water (pollution plants etc) -.

went out for an hour around springbank - water was up about 5 feet and moving crazy quick. I tried for about an hour but got fed up - lots of debris in the water too.
