Long Lake Apsley - Lake Trout???

Hey everyone.

I am going to be camping on Long Lake in Apsley, ON this weekend.

Has anyone fished here for lake trout before?
I would like to try my hand at them. As many of you know, I am all C & R and would just be looking for some pointers as well as potential spots on the lake.

Never been there BUT I would try around drop offs - not sure where the trout hide atm but definitely be looking around 25 - 50 ft of water. There will be feeding trout at the thermocline, typically 15-20 ft down, that will happily pursue your bait. White wooly buggers? White streamers? They'll probably hit anything actually Best of luck.
