Looking for first rainbow...help

Hey guys
new to rainbow fishing, and dying to catch a few.
Looking for some locations around Hamilton, doesnt have to be your secret hole, but a place to snag a few rainbows.
Also what rig should i use, baits and line test.
Any help to get me out there asap would be great.

Check the regs I though it was closed till April 30th now?

"snag a few rainbows." I assume that's slang and not a literal interpretation as to what your gunna be doing.

Drift roe, worms, cast spoons etc the same old game.

Most important part is make sure u are fishing the bottom 6"-12" of the water just off bottom and higher and u get Skunked.
