Looking for fly fishing buddies - Peterborough

Hey everyone.

I am kind of new to fly fishing and am looking for some fly fishing buddies in the Peterborough area. I don't really know anyone with the fly fishing addiction so I am usually fishing by myself.

As the name says, I'm in Madoc - not too far from Peterborough at all, and I'm definitely in the same boat as you in terms of usually fishing solo due to my friends' lack of interest. I'm headed on a trip next week, but afterwards will give you a shout and we can get together!

I haven't got into bass fly fishing yet. It would be cool to try!

I am currently coaching 4 novice fly fishers who live in Peterborough and cottage in the Apsley area. They would benefit from being part of a larger group.
I have some experience with flyfishing and casting clubs. I don't think there is one in Peterborough. I mentioned to a couple of the guys on Wednesday that I would be willing to come up from Toronto - after Thanksgiving when the indoor season starts - to help launch the first couple of meetings.
It amazes me (and one of the guys I was talking to) that there is so much hunting and fishing in that area but there is no really good store or club (at least not that I know of).

Yeah, unfortunately there is nothing like that here. It is difficult to find people to get together with.
