Was at a place somewhere between here and there last Friday...water is ridiculously low...not many carcasses, and even fewer fish... Waste of time until rains come...

Not into crowds at piers, prefer wading and drifting pools...anyone with info on some west tribs?? Just curious if a really early run...or the best is yet to come??

Yup did a recon on many rivers Sunday...stranded salmon, low water...and the usual consequences...nuff said...wait for November

haven't been out west yet but didnt it rain sunday evening - through monday afternoon? More rain forecasted this weekend, but not much.

the run is over in the east but the west never had anything to speak of and this post is about the west
my bad but didn't the west started running 2 weeks ago?

The big run in the west is still to come. A few big rains and the petro slaughter house will be opening its doors again. Dont expect much from the west this year, its been pretty terrible from the piers. Plus the run isnt gonna be concentrated as much as the odd fish has made it up in the last rain.

Yes true.

A lot of fish came up with the big rain we had two weeks ago, but it wasn't a spectacular run. With last night's light rain, water levels were still above the normal summertime level but really clear. Hoping Friday brings more rain.

its unbelievable how people can totally disregard past year's salmon run's. last year was a EARLY run, this year started beginning of september(which is the normal time) and saw tones of fish at the first big rain, then a week later every one thinks the run is done. then the next rain we get will have twice the amount of fish that came in the last rain and all of a sudden people are back hitting fish again till the end of october. the boot's are usually around till first week of november or so. besides have any of you even been to the river lately?
