Heya , Acouple buddys and I are fiending to get some fishing done and i was thinking of heading grand river either Sat/Sun this weekend. Hows the fishing at grand river atm? I hear people are pulling out some nice catfish , anyones been to grand river lately?

i think it might be a little early for that although im fiending too bud! . give steve at fishmasters in dunville a call he will know

Hi Youthgw. I can't confirm if the Cats are biting right now. What I can tell you is there are tons of Cats between Caledonia and Dunnville, lots of nice ones too. I don't usually hit up the Grand for them until the end of Apr or start of May when the water warms up a bit and they are on the move to begin spawning. I also notice you are from Hamilton. Me too and I find the same pattern holds true here in the Harbour.

I was reading the regulations and if i read correctly you can carpe fish. Any one know if.they are.still around here i mainly bass fish but im looking to target new species like carpe amd.pickeral this summer

Yeah , i live close to fishermens pier, so i was thinking of hitting up that spot for some cat/carp. I heard princess point is a good spot for catfish aswell. ( I just moved to hamilton , so im still kinda new to the area)
 
grand is running high from the rain and run off but if your looking for cats you can find yellow bellies at hovers marina out side of port dover. shinner minnows work great.
