The tourney starts today. My favorite sports event of the year other than opening day, but to me this also means that opening day is just around the corner.
Anyone else have brackets filled in for it and following? My team, Georgetown who I have followed since the early '80s is ranked 6th so I have high hopes for them this year. In reality I see Louisville and Kansas in the final, but maybe G'town will knock off Kansas in the semis.
If anyone else has interest in March Madness, sound in. I'd like to hear.

I got into it a bit in university, but not really. I heard a comparison on the radio yesterday... creating a successful bracket is equal to the odds of hitting 4 hole in ones in a row, and something like if every single american made a bracket, one would win every 40 years? Crazy.

I believe there has never been a perfect bracket. The odds of picking 63 games is about a billion to one.

last year i had a perfect bracket right up until the elite 8. then from there it went all bad lol. i play bracket pools every year for march madness, something i look forward to all year long :)

although i don't have a perennial favourite i typically enjoy the "cinderella story" teams. So far this year i think Indiana looks beast-mode (although far from a cinderella story)

I've done a bit of research. No one has ever cashed in on the million dollar, perfect bracket. Scoring a perfect bracket is basically the same as being hit by lightening 5 times on the same day. A billion to one.... or so...
When I cash in this year, I'll bring some of you guys fishing on the East Coast with me. Atlantics and Coasters.

Well in that case...Go Alfie haha! P.S. the Hoyas are due for a re-birth imo.

Same as goodentight I watched some in uni... don't have a TV now tho lol.

Never the biggest basketball fan but the great thing about Madness is that everyone can get swept up in the hype and have a blast. Usually some good SI articles on it too.

Update: Perfect 4 of 4 on one of my 3 brackets so far. 59 games to go :)
Not so much on the other 2.

Alfie.
