Was just reading up the all replies, 1stly nice hogs guys, Bryan, was that one of the fish you caught that day ?!
lunker city !!
2ndly, back to the pond conversation, I think the fish have adapted a bit and yes they are a bit more pressured, but as Openfire said "the day i don't catch a fish outta this pond, is the day I put my fishing rod down", was there about 2 weeks ago, was on a Wednesday, just after this debate was first started, I went to the pond to test that theory, got plenty of fish that day, I think it was due to it raining the day before..
But I went back the day after, to say the least it wasn't as nearly as good as the day before. It is true they do adapt, but if given enough time (a few days), they should reset, especially if you switch baits after every fish caught. I only find it in situations, where you keep on using the same lure over & over are usually the only times where they adapt fully, other than that, you can still outsmart them by using different lures that they haven't yet seen before. What I tend to do is let the fish dictate what they want to bite, whether its LM bass, trout or pike, its all the same, let them decide.
during the day (silver minnow baits did best)
around dusk, they would only go after my chartreuse bait
