eat or not eat i'm gonna step it up on steelhead fishing :) hopefully i'll be as good as you :)

It's always good to know about health hazards around us. I really do believe that everything should be consumed on moderation.

I don't think that anything is safe to eat. Insecticides, pesticides, genetically modified foods, hormone-injected cattle, poultry, and pork. Everything we eat is tainted, more than we would like to admit.

I did have my first taste of brown trout and I very much enjoyed it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but, I think it was 1-3 servings of trout should be consumed according to the MNR guide.

Proceed with caution.

Thanks OP for posting this. (I posted the link to the original article in the news section)

I don't eat these fish to begin with, but this issue goes much further than eating fish. The residents of Port Hope are being exposed to radiation... not good.

Well, Cameco is a uranium enrichment facility and is right at the mouth of the river. I know for a fact that the regulations on radioactive waste are very tight thus I double think when an anti-nuclear doctor tells me it is all messed up. Not that he is dead wrong, but the nuclear thing is very sensetive and each side tries to voice his opinion louder, alot of facts get hidden.
I would not eat the fish from that area or pickering anyways, just to remain on the safe side
