So I managed to swing by the lake again after work, and it definitely did not disappoint. When I got there, I had a lot of company in geese, ducks, an osprey, the infamous beaver from my vid, and this fellow:
I tossed on an olive bugger, and first cast had a nice rainbow on. For the first time ever, my fly-line got wrapped around my GoPro chest mount, which gave the fish just enough slack to get off.
Tonnes of surface activity again tonight, with no interest in the bugger whatsoever (CC, eat your heart out ), but I did manage to see what the trout were sipping on. A recent fly I tied (just screwing around at the bench, really) happened to look a little like the flies hatching, so I thought "what the hell" and tied it on.
First cast with this guy, and BAM another fish on.
Great fight, great fish, great times!
