My first report.

On Saturday, we traveled to these three ponds that we had heard much about (see red dot on map).

We arrived at around 6 am and set up our huts. I dropped my fish tv camera down the ice hole and saw a assortment of fish swimming around. The bite was tough and only managed a few sunfish and blue gill. Finally after a few hours my friend in the other hut hooked into this pike.

The rest of the day was very slow with only a few small perch being caught. The day was coming to an end when I finally hooked into what I had come to the pond for.....

My first crappie! Sorry this report isn't the best but I am new to ice fishing... I will post some better ones hopefully in the coming weeks!

Thanks for sharing your first report. Looks like you did quite well and managed to catch at least 4 different fish.

Nice fish! I live in Caledonia, and I didn't even know that was an option. Will have to try sometime!
