My first Steelhead.

Caught my first Steelhead today! One of the most exhilarating moments I've ever experienced. All I can say is..... I'm hooked!

She weighed in at 7.3 lbs.

Pic doesn't do her justice, she was huge.

Edit: I forgot to mention, the only reason why she was beached was because the hook was in good (that's why you can see a little bit of blood) and I had to lay her down to go get my pliers, and since I had no one with me, the only way I could get a pic of her is if I layed her down. No worries though, she swam back fine and I even saw her pair up with a mate a bit later on .

I was jigging a spinner half a foot away from her face and she smashed it All about technique :mrgreen:

I need you to teach me . I tried getting them on the fly but after realizing I was S**T at fly fishing for Trout I just switched to my spinning set up. :unsure:
