You mean berkley nanofil?

I've heard it's good from some people and horrible from others, low memory and no stretch.

It's expensive though, from what I've seen on average $20-$25 for only 150YD. I can't remember where I read it, but I recall someone saying that it was digging into their guides.

Have heard a lot of good about it, but a lot more bad. ;-) My buddy works at a tackle shop, he gets a lot of guys complaining about it. Not a berkley fan either, never liked any of there products. If your looking for new main i'd take a look at Suffix Pro Mix and PLine Flouroclear, bomb sh!t.

yeah plines reliable, I use the 4lbs as my leader material, suffix smoke green same thing as suffix pro mix?? was gonna pick up some suffix smoke green in 8lbs

side note: decided to stay away from nano, dislike there being no stretch, gonna stick to mono for a good while

yea pro mix has a greenish tinge to it. They call it lime green i beleive, but its not bright at all. From what i understand you cant get it in stores anymore, i order mine from CPA. I go with 10-12 on any lines that arent true test (underrated) as i find they bed a lot less after fighting a fish.

I tried some about a month ago.
Did not like it. (Only used once) .......... "That was expensive"

- it seems "Stiff", I had more "bird nesting" - and the wiedest thing THE SOUND (Didnt like it) *SMILES*

No regrets, had to give it a go.

My opinion is this: It is "Similiar" to braid. Not the same, but after years of using and enjoying quality MONO .... I dont seem to like anything else.

Price point, performance, memory, castability .... tangles.

Just like ABOUT EVERYTHING ELSE (Tackle) go with what YOU LIKE MOST!
Who cares about the "PRO's" or anyone elses preference.

Great to get advice, and try new things ... but at the END of THE DAY its all about YOU and YOUR Tackle and experience.
I'm gonna stick with the MONO for probably the next 20 years!

*SMILES*

Havent had a "Reason" to change.

Cheers!

I have 12LB on a spinning reel and it cast's very well. I have not had one problem with it. I like it. so I got a 6LB spool for ice fishing.

Like others have already said--no memory, rock solid hook sets (no stretch).
I prefer Fireline for my leader material though.

I used it for about a month. Previously I was using Suffix 832.

I would say it has more memory that 832, still looks like little coils when it comes off your rod , and caused me a few problems/tangles when quickly flipping the bail for a quick retrieve/hookset.

All in all, a very good line though. I think I still prefer the 832.

BUT......

I recently got a 7' UL set up (Thanks Santa!). I will definitely praise Nanofil for being the tiniest line on that market (that I can see). As a result, I was able to spool a LOT of it even onto my little UL reel. As a result, because of Nanofil's diameter, I've got a UL rig set up with 10lb test which will be fun as heck against perch, but still hold it's ground when a bass steps into the ring for a fight. I'm soooo looking forward to spring :)

Here is what i experienced with Nano. It is a very slick line, and you must use the double Know when tieing. It does cast farther than Mono or Braid, but i too was having problems with spool memory and twisting. I just dont like the stuff for my spinning setup.Best mono i have found is Suffix Siege.
