New to site, looking to put my nephews on their first fish.

I took my nephews out last weekend to barrie and then to canal road, managed to get skunked using worms... I typically use plastics but I thought using worms would have been a sure win to get my nephews on their first fish but even the people around us weren't having any luck that day. I barely even got my line wet between setting up for the 2 kids. I didn't mind the setup but getting skunked on their first trip was a bit of a drag.

I just discovered a resevoir/dam right by our area, next to WW kingdom. There's access through the camp grounds there. I was thinking of checking it out, the attendee there was nice enough to let me drive in to take a look and it looked promising. Has anyone been there recently? Am I allowed to name the place?

Otherwise, if anyone has any suggestions on a better spot it would be much appreciated. I just want to take them out during the week when it's quiet, throw out a bobber for them and put them on anything really.

Went to check out the spot with a friend just now. The water was really merky. Tried everything from meps to jigging with no luck but saw a few bass and carp jump out of the water right by us. Little bait fish were jumping all over the place. Definitely going back with my nephews with live bait.

Bobber and a worm! Cant get any simpler! You will catch anything from Carp to Bass to Panfish!

Yes you are allowed to name places as long as you are not fishing for trout, steelhead or salmon. If so, refer to them as east tributary of lake erie/ontario or west.
