New to the OFF

New to the forums, Ottawa area living. She said she wanted me to have a hobby, this is the best one I could think of I figured I finally start fishing legally now that I do have stuff to lose. Been as far as Wabun Lake in Calabogie to the Nation River via Plantagenet. Grew up with this in my blood. Just breaking the ice. Always down to meet up with other anglers in the greater Ottawa area.

Welcome McInnis. You picked a great forum with many great members and lots of info flowing about.
I'm in Hamilton, but do lots of work up Ottawa way. I havent been able to fish much up there, I don't really know spots or people. I do have one contact, but I will pm next time I'm coming out that way.

Running with a ugly stik with a mitchell 300x spinner reel, feels pretty good in the hands. Off the nation there was a wack load of catfish, which I found put up a fight than the small mouth bass I was pulling from Calabogie. Really Im just looking for strikes anywhere from anything lol.

I'm a spinning reel man myself. Like you I fish for anything that pulls!
