Nice Tank and New Toy

Was a good day, Went out for a couple hours, went 6/11.

Got to the water around 7:30 and set up. Surprisingly there was no one around yet. So I started off with my first drift, cell phone goes off so I quickly go to check my text message, and then I look up and my float's down. I pull back, and it feels nice a snag. First thing I think is that it's going to be a crappy day starting out like this...and then I feel a pull back, and my line starts peeling. At first I thought it was a salmon still in the water from the way it was fighting, and then it felt like I was pulling in a log. It was really dark so I couldn't see much of it until I got it closer, but I was quite happy.

Was alone so took a quick shot beside the rod/reel and released.

Also got another decent fish, and a bunch of 1-2lbers, was a good morning.

My new toy also arrived today :smile: finally

very nice fish! even better reel. if u dont mind me asking, how much do they go for? im looking to get in to the "pins".
spinning reel is going through p.m.s now a days....(grinding rears, burnt out drag) 8yrs old....

yeah, +5 minutes, right when it stopped it started to roll back slowly in the opposite direction. I'm impressed 8)
