Hello. Can anyone tell me the conditions at Port Albert. I was thinking of going there later this afternoon. I know people have said the river was low , but I was wondering if the rain we have had today has made a difference?

Thanks

I'm going to try to get there on Sunday morning, I think there should be something swimming around with all this rain...we need a lot more rain to make a difference though.

It would be great if you could share an update on conditions, it's a bit of a drive for me...

Ended up going yesterday afternoon/evening. The river is very low. Watched the fish ladder for about 1/2 hour and saw nothing. There were many people fishing the pool at the mouth of the river but nothing was biting. Towards early evening there were fish jumping but again none biting. Most people were saying about two weeks before conditions improve.

Thanks for the update...
I was planning on heading out yesterday too, no time.
I also got word that the ladder wasn't open, but that's great to hear it is. With this rain they can start moving up stream...
Were there about 1/2million anglers at the mouth?
I'm goin next weekend for sure...were gettin rain all week.
Things will heat up all along Huron this week hopefully.

Hoping to scout this week and hopefully fish it Tuesday and wednesday next week, dunno wether to bring my pin and float rod or cast spoons at the mouth any thoughts?
