I am guessing it is the MNR proposal to retract the free fishing licenses for the over 65's in Ontario.

Just a guess, could be something else. They just published their fish stocking plans as well.

They plan to only stock Atlantics and other native species in the future. So steelhead will disappear from our target species in a few years.

Oh yeah I heard of this. I voted against the proposal they had.
