I have been there the last 2 day, twice today. I have been thinking the same thing!

2 days ago. 7:30 pm, couple walkers came walking by as i was flickin my pink wolly. They didnt relly knew what was going on in the river or what fish, quick little explination. Told em have seen or caught anything. just as they turned there backs, i seen one BIG chromer surface out of the corner of my eye.... Just as i mentioned that i though it was earlie for them. But still, may have spent 12 hr in the last week, roe, steames, pink worms, wolly, same as everyone. nadda..

a noobie says he caught , what i figure brown..? he didnt know, didnt know what a trout looked like.

some one elts got a sucker (roe)

Dropped by today,4 or 5 fellows there, one caught a sucker and another fella caught small steelie. Water is high ,but tried my luck to no avail. If the weather is a little better than forecast ,will spend some time down there this weekend. Apparently a few trout were caught yesterday and a few lost. That's more than enough reason to get back there again soon.

Holy cow, stopped by the notty in Angus today and anyone that knows the north east side where the stop sign/no trespassing/k9 whatever ,the water is partially covering that sign..I have not seen it that high but I'm sure others have.Just practiced my wallis cast for a couple hours and now to 40' lol. Just a update for now.

OMG. thats my frekin spot..glad i didnt head out there today...wow.. i cant beleve that.. thats mabybe 2-3 ft high?

another thing. i folled the notty all the way to wasaga. From what ive seen, EVERYWHERE north of augus has flooded, crazy bad. if this affecting our run? could it?.... like i mean, taking over farmers feilds ect. ( hwy 26 ) there and up where nuts....

There were a few up in the headwaters on opening day. tried around alliston and another fishermen said it was early because he said they hadn't touched the gravel bank or something like that? i didnt really understand aha.

When the notty lowers, its pretty gravel-y ?! at the bottom ( alliston ) when the water gets a little lower there, thats about the time they would be show up there.

So your thinking the odd fish there catching now are just by chance and your still thinking the main run(s) are still to come?.

Theres definately fish.... i would advise going up river where it is less murky because with all the rain lately the areas of angus will all be blown

Im not exactly to shur, im not the expert like blair. lol but, there there obusley . im thinking even tho even the waters high , theres prob lots at this time, after the rain and sh!# . today actulley i checked out the dam more south. off 89 i think? looks like it would be hard to fish there. saw couple no fishing sighns and theres construction going on. water there was still chocolate. but at an average depth.

Most likly would of been fish on for shur...but i had to work....Son of a....
